Ms. Dianna MacDonald, PT

Dianna MacDonald practices at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton Alberta, as the Senior Program Physiotherapist for Women’s Health, New Born Medicine and Pediatrics, and is an Associate Clinical Professor for the department of Rehabilitation Medicine. Dianna has developed and is working in a multi-disciplinary out-patient clinic for the treatment of incontinence and pelvic pain in women and men. She developed the professional standards for the treatment of incontinence for the Alberta College of Physical Therapists, and is the author of “In Control Again”, a personal workbook for the re-education of the pelvic floor. She has contributed to public education and awareness of incontinence and menopause through television and has co-produced a video titled “Electrical Stimulation and the Treatment of Incontinence”. Dianna has lectured, organized and participated in many courses, workshops and national and international conferences. She is a member of a research team and the research question they are currently investigating is “An Innovative Model for the Treatment of Urinary Incontinence Symptoms”
